Career Biography
Alexis Conran is a TV presenter, broadcaster, actor and consumer journalist best known for BBC Three’s The Real Hustle and, since January 2026, as co-presenter of Storm & Alexis on 5. His broadcasting career spans live television, consumer journalism, documentaries and radio, with particular expertise in scams, fraud, human behaviour and current affairs.
Alexis was born in Paris and grew up in Greece before attending LAMDA in London and starting his career as an actor. His acting credits include Soldier Soldier, The Bill, Waking the Dead and ITV’s The Durrells.
He rose to prominence co-hosting and writing BBC Three’s The Real Hustle (2006–2012), combining acting with sleight-of-hand expertise. Since then he has cemented his position as a TV presenter and consumer champion hosting shows for Discovery Channel (Man v Expert), National Geographic (Hustling America) and heading Channel 5 consumer programmes including Secrets of the Scammers and Don’t Get Caught Out. He was the regular Scam Expert on ITV’s This Morning.
Alexis has spent 10 years presenting politics and consumer shows on the radio. He was an original line up presenter for both Talk Radio and Times Radio between 2016 and 2026. He has had his own daytime show Alexis Conran and Alexis Conran & Friends on Channel 5 in 2024 and since January 2026 he is on 5 Monday to Friday with his new show Storm & Alexis.

TV & Streaming
For The Real Hustle Alexis and the team wrote and carried out over 500 scams. The series was sold to over 50 territories across the globe making it one of the most successful shows to come out of BBC Three.
Alexis has fronted documentaries on all manner of subjects from gambling addiction to solar panels, all-inclusive holidays, electric cars, heat pumps and even airfryers.
Since 2024 he has been presenting live TV for Channel 5.
Radio & Podcasts
Alexis started his radio career in 2016 on Talk Radio. The show covered current affairs with fiery political debates and hard-hitting interviews during the Brexit years.
When Times Radio launched in 2020, Alexis spent 6 years interviewing cabinet ministers, politicians and celebrities including Keanu Reeves, Stephen Fry and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper. His signature item Political Frenemies brought together friends from across the political divide. His guests included Tom Tugendhat and Angela Reyner and Jacob Rees Mogg and Jess Phillips. He covered current affairs, consumer news and lifestyle items like travel and food.

Magic
Alexis is a long-standing Member of The Magic Circle. As well as being an accomplished performer specialising in card and casino cheating and sleight of hand,
Alexis has consulted on magic shows including BBC One’s The Magicians, Channel 4’s Derren Brown and Troy.
He still performs magic specialising is hustles with his 45 minute show Beat The Cheat.
